Skurj,

I have been on both sides of the equation as a bishop. because of that I have become a  firm believer that what goes  around, comes  around.  so i'm sure I will be with the bishops when it's our turn to be on the stinky end of the stick again.   Until then , Salute and good hunting

Yes, Skurj, it was unbalanced. Initially it wasn't too bad. 60-70 Bish to about 45-50 Rook and Knight each. Fighting going on against both. I was involved up North against the Rooks most of the night. When it got down to 3 fields though, I went South to help end it. It's no fun for anyone when you are about out of fields.

It got more unbalanced as defectors came over. Not sure what to do about that.

It's not like we weren't trying to end it. You have to remember though...we're Bish. Pretty hard to coordinate anything.

It'll go around and come around for us all.

Vati... what goes around comes around is completely missing the point.
I am not complaining about the low numbers on the other teams, (which dropped to 33, 30 not long after I posted this) I am saying the game needs some incentive to keep teams fairly even relative to each other.  It makes a more fun and entertaining game do you ALL not think?
Tensions build under situations like tonight, tempers flare, whining soars, animosity flourishes, anything that reduces that is a bonus.
I am not sure how it could be done, perk modifiers, perk awards upon entering arena on the smallest team, I don't know, others have made suggestions I'm sure.

If you have an idea, post it please!
In the long run it makes for a better game with more happy players.

Bah.

Bring it on Bishrooks.

The Gods know you need 2 or 3 vs 1 to hurt the kniggits  .

I'll have to go buy some boots so i have something to shake in.

Until then, I shall gladly accept these odds

Last night I hosted a H2H arena because I got tired of numbers in MA.
It was more fun for me than MA so I guess I'm going to spend more time in there. Also it costs less than MA

Ha, you bishrooks and your gang-banging arrogance!

Kirin and I were in a 5-2 coalt engagement against us, and dispatched all five of your puny niki-spit-la7 mongrels.

Hail the Knights - last night at one point it was 80 Bishrooks vs 40 knights - and we were still holding on when I left.

Skurj,

I have yet to see a good way to handle the issue at hand.  As Airpro has pointed out, this issue has been hashed and rehashed over and over, and if you noticed, it was the rook who were on the stinky end of it in the example he submits to us.   I do hope that someone comes up with a good way to solve this. I know I don't have a good answer.

BTW,
I understand the problem and I did get your point.  Since you offered up no idea on how to correct the situation, I took the post as a being sort of a whine type post.  I then  offered you some condolence and also the hope that one day the situation will be reversed.   I do apologize for taking the post as a non-constructive whine.  I hope you will forgive me.

Was Bishop maybe the default team yesterday and the influx of new people from AW or where ever the cause?

The high numbers on one side sometimes coincide with events in the Sea also, more of one side leave the Main for the SEA causing imbalance.

9:44PM Eastern is about the time around 40 guys went into the SEA last night.

I think Sunchaser has a point, a lot of my AW NG's are full of posts asking "what side do you guys fly on" from AW'ers making the switch.....

In the longer run, who cares?

It's only the melee arena, it's not like you lost any thing important, like a scenario or anything.....

1.  Two sided war so that one team is not double-ganged by the others.

2.  Perk point modifier based on the numbers on each side.

I actually sometimes like the teams being unbalanced that way.

I'm new to flight sims (very new) yet I've been very active in RTS, FPS etc...even in RL events ie. paintball etc...it is fun to sometimes have unbalanced sides.

Sometimes the challenge of surviving against insurmountable odds is very exhillerating.  I've seen odds turn based on strategy alone from countries with lower numbers.

I've chosen to play Rooks in AH, mainly because after playing all 3 countries I found the camraderie with the Rooks more to my liking, however I've found that with rooks sometimes we are heavily outnumbered at times, and before I can get fed up with it the tides turn and now I'm on a team with superior numbers.

Like I said, I'm a newbie, so some of you are apt to take what I say and ignore it, however; I've learned long ago not to just join the superpowers and gravy-train it through a game.  I have an absurd kill ratio, and it is steadily improving, yet the thrill of insurmountable odds at times keep me addicted.

If you're one to want game balance, play on the team that has the medium of players.  That way you have one enemie with superior power, and one with inferior.  If you prefer dominance, join the country with the most pilots.  Or, if you're like me, choose the cheesy team and pray for the best.

What the differince between 80 bish , 80 knights, 40 rook, and  160 Red guys  and 40 blue guys?    The Differince is  at least some of the 80 knight and bish are fighting each other instead of kicking rook tail.   All of the 160 red guys are booting blue guy butt.  If you think that will never happen with a two sided war then you a mistaken badly.  Infact, it's far more likely

All I would ask for is this...

First, you change countries ONCE per campaign. This will effectively stop those cherry pickers that follow squad nights.

Second, you change countries, you loose your
squadron affiliation and the squadron looses
your score for the campaign...

This should halt some the country hopping...

Third... if a country has a 3-1 disadvantage
at any time... they get perk planes until
disadvantage in numbers are lost... with this
bring on the ME262... hehe

Just my lowly opinion...
